Bride

Lee & I had been dating for 3 years, 9 months & 19 days when he proposed. With his crazy work schedule, it had been a while since we'd gotten to go on a real vacation, so when work canceled him last minute on a Friday, we searched online to go west, attempting to avoid hurricane Irene's wrath & spend some time together. We ended up at the Hilton in Allentown, PA, near the Sands Casino & Resort. We didn't get in till almost 2am & Saturday (August 27th) we spent the day doing 'us' things, like the America on Wheels museum & my first experience with Five Guys, so at the end of the day, we were exhausted & went back to the hotel for a nap. We woke up to go to dinner & Lee was fidgety about my taking forever to get ready & said he made reservations... well if you know Lee, then you know planning ahead isn't like him. We went to Emeril's Chop House for dinner & Lee offered to get us a bottle of wine (Lee doesn't drink wine), so I was getting a little suspicious (we ended up with specialty drinks, which were delicious) & while we had dinner, Lee was being very sweet & sentimental, so me thinking I was being smooth & getting nervous about what he was planning, felt his leg under the table... which wasn't as inconspicuous as I thought it would be & he obviously caught me checking. Thankfully, Lee knows me well & had the ring in his other pocket. He called me out immediately & teased that if I really want to marry him, he'll start ring shopping again, making me want to cry because I'm ready to spend my life with him & was embarrassed. He then asked me if I really wanted to marry him & got on one knee & asked me if I would spend the rest of my life with him! Of course I said YES! & we spent the next half hour call/text-ing our closest friends & family. We couldn't be happier!
