Aaron and I met while working at Jack's House in Brainerd. Aaron pursued me, and I turned him down over and over. I finally decided to give him a shot and it's been history since. Sometimes, we can't believe we were only 18 when we met! Aaron proposed to me on Valentine's Day 2008. We were in the process of purchasing our home and also planning a trip to Cancun. We both agreed it was best to not buy eachother big gifts, but he wanted to take me out to dinner anyways. I chose Applebee's, and that place was packed. People were waiting out the door, but not us. We walked in and had a booth in the back right away. Aaron fed me some line about having reservations and I didn't even think twice. After dinner, Aaron suggested dessert. My best friend, Ashlee, was a server at the time and brought out a bouquet of pink tulips and red roses (my fave flowers) when our server brought out the cake. I was so suprised to see Ash and the flowers, Aaron had his chance to drop to one knee. He presented me with the ring of my dreams (what a good listener!) and I was litterally speechless. I couldn't talk; only nodded my head like a dummy. I had to give him crap about the "not getting eachother big gifts" cause I only got him a lame card! The restaurant cheered and we left a while when he finally had me speaking and not staring at the ring anymore! |
I can't believe this is even happening still. We are getting married at the beautiful Sunset Jamaica Grande in Ocho Rios, Jamaica in spring break of 2014. Our wedding date in March 12, 2014 and will take place right on the ocean in a gorgeous gazebo. This small, intimate wedding is exactly what I've pictured for a long time and I can't wait to start the adventure of marriage while on an adventure of our own! We will celebrate our wedding with family and friends in MN in the few months after the ceremony. |
